Getting ready for The Creative Aging Project:
With a big smile, my Dad used to always talk about Peg Leg Bates. I found pamphlets in the house from a show someone in the family went to before I was born. I never had a chance to see or hear Peg Leg Bates ’Til YouTube came around. Throughout my childhood, talk of Peg Leg Bates seemed like an urban myth or an old story from African American folklore- like John Henry, someone who did the impossible.
